Our campuses offer tailored programs that integrate wellbeing and education, ensuring young people receive the individualised support they need to thrive. We work closely with families, community organisations, and support services to provide wraparound support that addresses both educational and personal development needs.
Our Young People
Young people come from diverse backgrounds and often face a significant and complex range of educational, social, developmental, environmental, psychological, health, legal barriers to learning which require unique interventions. Our approach is grounded in the Operation By Principles framework, which combines education with an understanding of trauma-informed practices.

Our Team
Our North Melbourne campus opened in 2012 and is our largest face-to-face learning community. Located on the edge of the CBD, it supports a diverse cohort of young people, many of whom are re-engaging with education after complex personal experiences. The Role
Saints College is seeking a Program Director – Teaching to join our North Melbourne campus for up to 12 months. The Program Director – Teaching & Learning is responsible for the provision of best practice teaching and learning strategies across the campus. This includes provision of elective subjects and extracurricular student engagement activities that are delivered in accordance with relevant external and internal standards. The Program Director – Teaching & Learning provides leadership to the Teachers and the young people, working collaboratively with the Campus Principal and school leadership.
This position includes:
- Planning, preparation and delivery of effective onsite learning, teaching and wellbeing programs for young people in secondary education;
- Contributing to the development and implementation of the school’s objectives and planning;
- Contributing and planning to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive school environment; and
- This role will model innovative teaching practices in both the best interest of young people and for the benefit of the professional development of the team.
You will be employed on a Maximum -term basis up to 11 July 2027, commencing as soon as possible, and will be employed under the Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2022.
Classification for the role is a Teacher with a POL 4 (leadership allowance), and a salary range of $79,589 to $118,063 (depending on education and experience).
You will need
- Ability to commit to and work within our Operating Principles; Respect, Participation, Safe and Legal and Honesty
- Tertiary Qualifications in Teaching, Education or a related field or equivalent education and experience.
- Ability to obtain a Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration
- 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Well-developed understanding of the developmental needs of young people from a disadvantaged or disengaged perspective.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
- Experience and confidence when engaging with parents, and competent in managing complex situations.
- Strong knowledge of and a commitment to best practice delivery of curriculum
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Resilient and able to develop resilience in others with a high level of emotional intelligence.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in staff support, development and professional supervision in education within collaborative multidisciplinary team settings. This should include experience in facilitating reflective practice sessions for staff and critical incident debriefs for staff.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to build quality working relationships.
- A commitment to ongoing professional learning for self and others to enable further development of skills, expertise and teaching capacity.
- Ability and willingness to travel to school sites and attend professional development as required.
- Strong Interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to successfully communicate with a range of people
- Experience in supporting young people with disability and/or neurodivergence
- The ability to inspire and engage young people with learning activities
- Be willing to support young people and our team members to reach their potential
